Biography

Brian Harte (b. 1978) lives and works in County Tipperary, Ireland. He works mainly with large-scale canvases and is concerned with the investigation of composition and the relationship between abstractionism and figurative painting. As Ffrench/Harte he has also worked collaboratively on large sculptural projects with fellow Irish artist Anne Ffrench. He has been the recipient of awards and residencies including the Arts Council of Ireland’s Project Award on two occasions. His work has been presented in numerous solo and group shows and is held in both private and public collections.
